First Lutheran Church in Galesburg, IL, was established in 1851 – well before my home state of ND was even a state. This weekend we will be giving tours of our historic 1926 neo-gothic building. The reddish-brown brick building is constructed out of locally sourced Purington Pavers – just like the streets of Paris and the Panama Canal.
The art, artistry, and architecture are just stunning! You would not see a church built like this today. Seeing the stained glass windows from the inside is an awe-inspiring experience! #experience #architecture #art #windows #building #Galesburg
